Perhaps you've heard of it - Forest bathing. It is described as the act of walking (or just being) in nature. The environment can be as simple as a city park filled with an abundance of trees and other greenery, or an actual forest. The practice of forest bathing has been well established in Japan for over 30 years, but it has only recently gained popularity in the United States. Perhaps this is because in America, for better or for worse, people wait for studies to prove that something has benefits before they care to try it. Recently, several studies have documented benefits from regularly spending time in nature.
